We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher of PE who will join our dynamic, committed and highly successful Physical Education (PE) team from September 2021. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional experienced or newly qualified teacher to make a significant contribution to the school. We are looking for a colleague who has the ability to be able to teach across the full age and ability range, will embrace our drive to ensure that PE is at the core of our curriculum, has students' progress at the forefront of their teaching, along with a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school. The candidate would ideally have a strong subject knowledge across all activities and have the ability to teach exam-based PE.
The PE Department
We aim to deliver high quality PE to key stages 3, 4 & 5, have an extensive range of KS4 and KS5 examination courses, which are popular with our students. We are very proud that our PE curriculum offers and meets the needs of all our students in helping them to secure the best possible life chances through lifelong participation in sport and health.
Our department is well resourced with a plethora of excellent facilities including a new all-weather floodlit pitch, gymnasia, extensive playing fields/hard courts, a dance studio and use of the Community Campus with its 25m swimming pool, sports hall, fitness suite and climbing wall. This allows us to deliver a varied extra-curricular programme, which includes a Sports Leaders Academy in partnership with our local primary schools and School Sports Coordinator.
The Corsham School is part of a small Multi Academy Trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Bath and within easy reach of the M4.
