Whether you are currently a student at The Corsham School or applying from another school, we look forward to supporting you through the application process and helping you take the next step in your educational journey.
Our sixth form offers a broad range of academic opportunities, excellent pastoral support and a welcoming community where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are committed to helping every student achieve academic success, develop independence and prepare confidently for their future pathway.
Current Corsham School Students
If you are currently studying in Year 11 at The Corsham School and are planning to continue your studies with us in sixth form, you will be invited to complete your application after our sixth form taster day in the autumn term.
Throughout Year 11, you will receive guidance and support to help you make informed decisions about your post-16 education. Important information regarding subject choices, applications and next steps will be shared through assemblies, tutor sessions, careers appointments and communications from the Sixth Form team.
Applicants will also have the opportunity to attend our Orientation Day later in the academic year, providing a valuable introduction to sixth form life before joining us in the new academic year.
Students Applying from Other Schools
We warmly welcome applications from students currently attending other schools.
Our Open Evening provides an excellent opportunity to explore our facilities, meet staff and students, and learn more about the subjects and opportunities available at The Corsham Sixth.
Before applying, we recommend reviewing our Sixth Form Prospectus, which contains detailed information about our courses, entry requirements and wider sixth form experience. Applications for external candidates will open following our annual Open Evening.
Admissions Timeline
Please note that exact dates may vary from year to year. Confirmed dates and deadlines will be published on our website and communicated to applicants as they become available.
- Autumn Term – Open Evening. Prospective students and their families are invited to attend our annual open evening to explore our facilities, meet staff and students, and find out more about life at The Corsham Sixth.
- Winter Term – Applications Open. Applications for sixth form entry typically open during the winter term. Students will receive information about how to apply, entry requirements and any relevant deadlines.
- Summer Term – Orientation Day. Applicants will be invited to attend our Orientation Day, designed to provide an insight into life at The Corsham Sixth and help students feel confident and prepared for their transition to post-16 study. Students will have the opportunity to experience sample lessons, meet subject teachers, learn more about the wider opportunities available in sixth form, and begin building relationships with other students ahead of September.
- August – Enrolment. Following GCSE Results Day, students who have met the relevant entry requirements will be invited to enrol and confirm their final programme of study.
- September – Start of Year 12. Students begin their studies at The Corsham Sixth and become part of our vibrant and supportive sixth form community.
