The Role

The Corsham School Academy Group seeks to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Resources Centre Manager to join our vibrant school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about fostering a love of reading and learning in young people, and who enjoys working in a dynamic educational environment.

As our Learning Resources Centre Manager, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day running of the library, supporting pupils and staff, promoting literacy across the school, and helping to create an inclusive and inspiring space for reading, research, and reflection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the organisation and maintenance of library resources
  • Support pupils in developing independent learning and research skills
  • Promote reading for pleasure through engaging displays, events, and initiatives
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery
  • Maintain library systems and records efficiently

Person Specification:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A genuine interest in children's literature and education
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confidence in using IT systems and library management software (training provided)

Experience: Previous experience working in a school library setting is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for literacy, organisation, and supporting young learners. Full training will be provided, so please don’t let a lack of direct school library experience deter you from applying — we’re looking for the right person, not just the right CV.

If you are excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school environment and help nurture a lifelong love of reading, we would love to hear from you.

Potential candidates for this role are warmly invited to visit the school, please contact Samantha Pritchard on headssecretary@corsham.wilts.sch.uk
