Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.

GCSE Success at The Corsham School in 2025
The Corsham School is today celebrating the achievements of its Year 11 Class of 2025, who should feel justifiably proud of everything they have accomplished in the face of extraordinary challenges during their secondary school journey.
Headteacher Rod Bell said: "I want to offer my warmest congratulations to every student receiving their GCSE results today. Each and every one of them has a reason to be proud, and it has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces as envelopes were opened this morning. This year group began their secondary education amid the Covid pandemic, with lockdowns, remote learning and prolonged disruption forming the backdrop to their early years of study. Despite all of this, they have demonstrated resilience, perseverance and real independence, and their excellent results reflect that hard work. These outcomes give them a solid foundation for the exciting futures ahead, whether in further study, apprenticeships or future careers."
"At The Corsham School we value being a genuinely comprehensive community and our mission is to help every young person become the best version of themselves, and so it is particularly rewarding to see students of every ability not only meet but, in many cases, exceed their personal goals, often while dealing with their own individual challenges. Alongside their academic success, this cohort has also enriched the wider life of the school and contributed positively to our local community, we are as proud of the people they have become as we are of their exam results."
"While today rightly belongs to the students, I also want to acknowledge the tireless dedication of our staff, whose commitment, expertise and encouragement have enabled our young people to flourish. The support of parents and carers has also been invaluable throughout what can be a stressful and anxious time, and I thank them wholeheartedly."
"I look forward to welcoming back the majority of our Year 11 students into Corsham 6th this September, and I wish those moving on to other colleges, apprenticeships or training providers every success. Whatever their next step, they do so with a strong set of qualifications and, more importantly, the resilience and skills to thrive in the years ahead."

Celebrating Achievement at Corsham Sixth – 2025
The Corsham School is pleased to mark the achievements of its Year 13 Class of 2025, who have every reason to feel proud of their accomplishments after navigating a secondary education journey filled with unique challenges and opportunities.
“We’re delighted to recognise the efforts of our Year 13 students as they receive their results today. Their time in Sixth Form has seen them grow in confidence and capability, and we’re genuinely proud of the perseverance and commitment they’ve shown. It’s fantastic to see so many of them progressing to their chosen next steps—whether that’s university, apprenticeships, or entering the world of work. We wish each of them continued success in all that lies ahead.” - Matt Kingscote, Head of Corsham School Sixth Form
“I’m incredibly proud of our students and pleased to see their dedication rewarded with results that reflect their hard work. Their achievements speak volumes about their resilience and the way they’ve supported one another throughout their studies. There are countless individual stories of success, and we’re proud of every single one. Our commitment to personalised support and strong pastoral care has helped many students overcome significant personal challenges to reach—and often exceed—their goals.”
This year’s outcomes are also a testament to the unwavering dedication of our exceptional staff, who have gone above and beyond to guide and support our students. We’re equally grateful to our families, whose encouragement and involvement have played a vital role in these successes.
Warm congratulations to all involved—we look forward to seeing what the future holds for this remarkable group of young people. Enjoy the celebrations!
