Annual Awards 2012
The school held its Annual Awards Ceremony on 23rd October, with over 130 students from Years 8 to 13 receiving trophies and awards for their outstanding achievements during the previous year.

Once more, the evening involved the presentation of individually inscribed glass trophies for subject performance and achievement winners along with some special awards for students in a variety of categories (see programme for details).

These trophies can now be kept as a permanent memento of each student’s achievement and this year, for the first time, the Year 12 trophies are also going to be kept by each recipient.

Our special guest was due to be Corsham's own inspirational Paralympian, Stephanie Millward, but unfortunately she was called to Buckingham Palace with other stars of the Paralympics in order to meet the Royal Family just the day before and was unable to attend. Stephanie was kind enough to film a personal message for the award winners which was played during the evening and has just arranged to visit us in early December to meet them in person and give them a chance to see her numerous medals and take photographs.

The audience was treated to two outstanding musical items. The first was a drum solo from Corsham School Young Musician of the Year, Kyle Krishnamma-Hillier and the second saw stars of the school's production, Phoebe McHugh and Evie Poulson singing a memorable duet from 'Wicked'.

We are grateful to Chair of Governors, Niall Smiddy, who stepped into the breach and presented the trophies and also to the large and appreciative audience of parents and fiends who helped to make a memorable evening for all involved.

Congratulations to all award winners on their tremendous achievements!
