Outreach Artist
As well as being available for the school, the Making Room is the base for Outreach work.
As the school's Outreach Artist, I work to facilitate creative/art-based projects, with the community, with local business and with our 11 partner schools.
Using my own skills and that of local, or sometimes international, artists I have enabled all these different areas to realise ambitious and often large-scale works of art.
As well as bringing artists into our schools, the Outreach Department has been active in involving students in community projects; this will be the second year that we are instrumental in the visual impact of the Corsham Festival.
Outreach is also responsible for a variety of afterschool workshops, that are run free, for the local community.
