At Key Stage 4, pupils follow the OCR GCSE course in their language of choice (French, German and / or Spanish). Year 10 pupils’ progress is monitored through regular assessments and they begin their written and spoken controlled assessment. In year 11 students continue with their controlled assessment. They are entered for terminal listening and reading comprehension exams. Controlled assessment takes place in lesson time although preparation at home is essential.
