Years 10 and 11 generally undertake a GCSE course of study in one of the following subject areas: Food Technology, Resistant Materials, Graphics and Textiles. Students will further develop their knowledge and skills in year 10 prior to starting their main GCSE portfolio – usually concentrating on designing and making a product in the context of a ‘real world’ solution.
All subject areas are graded through the AQA examination board, and students will study five one-hour lessons per fortnight.
